This video is about a father, he works as a train engineer. One tragic day, a train with hundreds of passengers was about to crash when the bridge is being withdrew. The son tried to switch the lever below the bridge but he accidentally slipped into the bridge clamp. The father has to choose between the train or the son, if he chooses the train, the son will die because the bridge will be draw back again and thus the son will be crush. If he chooses the son, hundreds of passengers inside the train will die. Time is running out, watch the video for the ending. Will make you cry!
Just as like it is in the video, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
'He also force everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark.' (Revelation 13: 16-18)
This verse means that we must becareful of Satan's attack. We must be vigilant and alert and not fall into his tricks or any temptations. For as it is written, that whoever has the mark on his right hand or forehead, is a slave of the Satan. We must becareful whom we are associating with, and know whether our consciences are right when we are doing things. Even though it is modern in the times now, temptation and tricks can be used everywhere!
'Law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.'
This verse simply means that, we must submit to authority. When there is no law in the country, there is bound to be chaos. If we are the disciples or God, Jesus Christ himself, we must therefore submit to authority.
'You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.'
This simply means that when we were incapable, Christ has died for all of us. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
'For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.' (Romans 12:3)
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:17-19)
"Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited." (Romans 12:14-16)
"If anyone would come after me (Jesus), he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his soul in the process?" (Matthew 16:24-26)
For Earthly Possessions will not last eternally, for as one who died, will not bring the possessions along with him, but his accounts of his deeds. For when Judgement day comes, Everything will be destroyed. What means is there to be contented and tempted to steal, or acheive earthly possessions when all good things will come to an end?
One who is faithful in Jesus and who trust in Him, He will have bountiful rewards in heaven awaiting for him/her and Jesus himself will henceforth say "You are a good and faithful servant" For as all earthly possessions will be turn to ashes and vapourise, so do not be tempted by earthly possessions.
These verses and testimonies which I have typed so far has really broaden my mind instead of looking at a perspective point of view. As the Bible scriptures has embedded into my mind, hopefully into yours too, that we can follow God's words and obey his commands at all times. Amen! To Sing praises of God and worship him everyday forever and ever. Amen! For we are doing it in the glory of Lord Jesus.
Today sermon, we learnt about 'Dumping your Baggage' What does it means?
Well, the whole concept of this theory is about Emotional Baggage which are known as Strong Emotional feelings. They are also known as 'Leftover Feelings' which will then lead to 'Hurts' then after that will proceed on to 'Negative feelings' which will then lead to 'Irrational Thoughts' then finally to 'Negative Behaviour'.
There is a sense of burden the person will have because of the past there he was being reminded of and when he start something new, he is being triggered by the past which the emotions will avert the person to stop him from starting.
When we have Excess Emotions, there will always be a price to pay. We will tend to neglect our friends, our parents, and you felt that the whole world doesn't cares about our emotions, and thus will have the negative thoughts and continue it as a cycle throughout the whole life.
We need to 'Get Beyond our Past' in order to proceed on with our future. Usually, people always concern too much on people outlook and not in the inner-heart of the person. Tends to neglect the person perspective in life-outlook.
Firstly, in order to set things right, we need to recognise the emotion baggage. We need to know what kind of emotions we are having. Is it Anger? Hatred? Sadness? We need to overcome these emotions before they overwhelm us and take control of our life.
Secondly, we need to know how it affects us in a way or another. Whether be it in work, in school, or in other activities, we need to
Today during the sermon, the pastor had taught us about 'What is the definition of Successful'. Well, he teached that when we do things and strive for all the best, is our actions applicable and appleasing in God's eyes? Or are we just putting all the best and strive for it and get the best position/status in the society?
As we all know, the society only wants to know how much a person has accumulated so that how successful is the person. As in if a person has a 'Prada' or 'Levi's' accessories, we know that he or she is rich and therefore successful. But when we have strive for that goal and reached the ultimate purpose, are we really content about it and whether is it appleasing in God's eyes?
When the day comes to meet God, God won't asked us 'How many A's you have acheived in your studies or how much money you have in your bank.' He will ask relavant questions such as 'Have you done what is appleasing in my sight?'
So, it doesn't matters how much we have accumulated in the society because nothing will last forever, the only purpose that matters is that, are we doing it in the righteous way and is my acheivements appleasing in God's eyes?
The sermon also teaches us about Matthew, one of the Twelve Disciples of Jesus. He was a successful person, and he always wanted to follow a 'Rabbi' (Teacher) because he was inspired. Although he was successful, none of the people like him because he was a Tax Collector, and he charge more than what he should collect. He also had no friends because of the way he does his things. Thus, what this is trying to say is that, when we are being successful, some sacrifices are being make, such as losing our friends, losing communication, etc etc.
What I learnt today was really interesting and had nutured my understanding, knowledge and broaden my mind. So, I would like to finish this by praying.
I pray that those people who would want to know more about Christ will able to learn through God's word and apply it into their life so that they can understand you more better, Lord. I pray that those who need healing will be healed. Those who need faith will be given to, and all these I pray in your precious name, In Jesus name, Amen!
Today I learnt in the sermon about 'Eagle Christian'. Eagle Christian are Christians who are balanced in their life as in whether is in work, or in church. We must have a balance in both then we are then called Eagle Christians.
Why do we use Eagle Christian to substitude Strong Christian? This is because when Eagles are tired, they will fly to the highest peak and pose themself in a position to face the sun to renew their soul. This is why Eagle is Strongly represented in the context here because We need God to renew our soul and our physical body.
We also must know how to balance our commitment in our life which is work/school or Church. When one is over balance another, it is difficult to balance it back. Thus, when we see the over balance is about to happen, we must learn how to balance it back so that we are then known as Eagle Christian.
I learnt alot from the Sermon today and I will continue to be entusiastic in God's word and learn more from his word and I'm really glad that God has help us all and guided our path in his holy light. Amen!
On the 9 June to 13 June, I went to a Church Camp Retreat at Malacca. I was Mesmerised by what the pastor has preached and God was directly speaking to everyone during the sermon. It was very Serene and the place was filled with God's presense.
We played a 'LifeGame' On the Retreat Camp, it was about how we plan our life wisely. I realised that many of us, Christians during the LifeGame, were to focus on Prestige, Status, Career and other Amibitions. Thus we were vunerable to be weak and lack in faith on God because we did not put God in the First Priority during the LifeGame. Everyone was concentrating on Career, but we didn't really focus on God until we come to a point at the end, then we will realise how we needed God so much to save us from eternal Torture.
I too, felt sad because the LifeGame has taught us so much, and it has impacted everyone tremendously! It is a Must to 'Play' this LifeGame because it really shows how we will progress through in life. Don't always think that "hey, I don't need these stuffs to substitude my life because I know what the outcome is." Because Unless we really gone through this kind of situation, we will know how desperate we needed God so much!
It really shows us how we are like in Real life. If LifeGame itself is already that scary, what more can we compare in Reality? A thousand times scarier? Thus, this really impacted me so much that I could cry out to God at a time like this. I really never regret coming to this Retreat! It is a must to those who wants to attend this Retreat!
So, as I pray for those who needs healing, who needs the faith in God and those who are facing in times of troubles, and as I pray in your precious name Lord, In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
